Treat Wounds with ChitoCare Medical Wound Healing Gel

ChitoCare medical devices are designed for the protection and healing of skin and wounds. Their main active ingredient is chitosan, a biocompatible polymer with a host of beneficial properties for skin and wound healing.

Why chitosan?

Chitosan is a functional polysaccharide providing support. Under mild acidic conditions, it becomes positively charged, rendering it bio-adhesive. This allows it to adhere to intact or breached skin as a protective film, conferring many important biological properties. Chitosan is a true wonder of the sea, as it protects the skin, reduces redness and irritation with its cooling effect, maintains moisture and promotes the skin's natural repair process.

Chitosan benefits for wound healing

ChitoCare medical Wound Healing Gel is biocompatible, causing no irritation or sensitivity, and promotes the skin's natural healing process. It is bio-adhesive, allowing the gel to adhere to breached or intact skin, forming a film over the area and protecting the skin and wounds against infections. It helps reduce bleeding, scarring and pain, and delivers a soothing, cooling effect.

Chitosan is the main ingredient found in ChitoCare medical devices. Chitosan confers many benefits to wounds and the skin during the healing process, including:

  • effectively reducing chronic wounds
  • protecting against infections
  • reducing redness, itching and pain
  • helping reduce bleeding
  • minimizing scarring
  • promoting natural skin healing

ChitoCare medical Wound Healing Gel effectively soothes the symptoms associated with various skin conditions, such as itching and redness, and can also effectively treat and reduce acute and chronic wounds. It is great for sunburn, old and new scars, pimples, acne symptoms, cold sores and blisters, pressure sores, cuts and abrasions, blisters, skin rash, eczema, dry and cracked skin, bug bites, diabetic ulcers, and other chronic wounds.

Easy and safe to use, compatible with skin

ChitoCare medical Wound Healing Gel can be applied to suit any skin area or wound shape and will dry into a thin, transparent and breathable film to protect the skin or wounded area, and maintain a proper micro-environment (moisture, pH) for rapid and natural healing and reduced scarring.

It can be stored at room temperature, however storing it in the fridge provides an added cooling effect. It is suitable for use by the whole family, including children and the elderly. Ideal first aid, it can also be used as a preventative treatment to protect the skin.
